Srinagar : Police in Awantipora on Thursday organised One day training Program on Cyber security awareness at District Police Lines Awantipora.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairing officer advised the participants to adopt safe browsing habits to avoid suspicious websites while surfing the internet. The participants were advised not to share OTPs with unknown persons. Participants were also cautioned for accepting friend requests from unknown persons or chatting with unknown persons on social media. Participants were briefed about various types of cyber threats/crimes such as identity theft, credit card fraud, data stealing, cyber stalking, OTP frauds, online gaming fraud etc. The Officers/Officials attending the said training programme were reiterated to maintain official secrecy Act by not sharing the official documents/ communications through WhatsApp etc
The main motive behind conducting such training program was to provide awareness of cyber frauds among the Officers /officials of PD Awantipora. The workshop was conducted under the supervision of DySP DAR DPL Awantipora.
