Srinagar : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, General Secretary and MLA Khanyar Ali Muhammad Sagar Thursday said that the government led by Omar Abdullah is dedicated to revitalizing Srinagar into a lively and thriving city.
During his tour to native Khanyar constituency, Sagar echoed the sentiments of the people he met. Making brief stopovers at various places across the assembly segment, he assessed the situation following heavy rains in the valley. Inquiring about the availability of ration, utility services, and other basic civic amenities, he reached out to the administration to highlight the issues faced by the people in need of swift redressal.
Sagar also took stock of the arrangements, particularly the availability of ration in preparation for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
On visiting GHSS Khanyar, BHSS Nowpora, and CMP High School Daulatabad, he engaged in detailed discussions with institutional heads and officials from various departments, including PHE, PDD, SMC Works, City Roads, R&B Core, UEED, and SMC Lights. On the occasion he allocated Rs 11 lakhs to GHSS Khanyar and Rs 7 lakhs to BHSS Nowpora under UT Capex for infrastructural and equipment needs to enhance the quality of education in Shahr-e-Khaas.
Later in the day, he visited the revered shrine of Peer Dastgeer Sahib (RA) and offered Zuhur Prayers there.
Interacting with the people, Sagar proclaimed that the Omar Abdullah-led government is committed to revitalizing Srinagar into a vibrant and prosperous city. “The primary focus will be on youth employment, improving infrastructure, and enhancing the quality of life for all citizens.
