Multi-Departmental Workshop on Forest Fire Management & Mitigation Held in Sanzipora

Srinagar: The Langate Forest Division in collaboration with the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire and Emergency Services, Health and Medical Department, Border Security Force (BSF) 174 Battalion, and the Forest Protection Force (FPF), successfully conducted a one-day multi-departmental workshop on forest fire management and mitigation at the Forest Rest House (FRH) in Sanzipora.
The workshop focused on enhancing the skills of frontline forest staff in combating forest fires. Experts from each participating department provided valuable insights and conducted live demonstrations of firefighting techniques.
These sessions aimed to improve coordination and preparedness among the various agencies involved in forest fire response. Participants gained practical knowledge and hands-on experience in fire suppression strategies and the use of firefighting equipment. The event underscored the importance of teamwork, coordination, and continuous training in safeguarding the forest ecosystem and communities from the threat of wildfires.
