Srinagar : President , People’s Democratic Front (PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen while urging for adquate arrangements for ensuing holly month of Ramdhan , has sought round the clock supply of water and power supply for the for smooth celebration of the ensuing holly month . He has stressed for make all the required arrangements especially availability of essential commodities and civic ammenities in all the cities and towns of the jammu and kashmir. He said that the forthcoming holly month of Ramadan is the most sacred month of Muslim community throughout the world adding that government should ensure un- interrupted supply of power , drinking water and essential commodities . He has called for strict action against consumers for making wrong use of scarce drinking water and power supply.
In a statement issued here Hakeem Yaseen has also stressed for streamling and updating street lighting system in lanes and around various mosques and shrines for convenience of the devotees so that they could perform Sehri obligations and offer month long special prayers at nights ( Taraweeh ) and Tuhajjud without any difficulty.
The PDF President has urged the administration to intensify market checking to keep prices of various essential commodities under check . ” Strict action should be taken against black marketeers and hoarders found indulging in unscrupulous trade and business practces ,” Hakeem Yaseen added .
He has prayed that the holly month of Ramadan may prove harbinger of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. He has asked the people to observe fasts in true spirit and seek blessings of the Almighty during night prayers of Taraweeh. He has urged for providing, moral and monetary assistance to the needy and underprivileged sections of the society especially orphans ,widows ,destitute and handicapped persons .
