Srinagar : Police in Baramulla on Tuesday organized drug de-addiction awareness programme at Govt Degree College Pattan.
The programme aimed at educating students and faculty about the harmful effects of drug abuse and equipping them with essential knowledge on prevention strategies. The session highlighted the physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse, emphasizing the importance of a drug-free society.
The prominent speakers at the event, SDPO Pattan DySP Shahjahan Choudhary, SHO Police Station Pattan Insp Mohd Saleem, Mr Mohd Ashraf and Ms. Uzma Qureshi of PDDC Baramulla delivered insightful lectures, sharing their expertise on various aspects of drug addiction, its causes, and effective intervention strategies. They urged students to remain vigilant and play an active role in spreading awareness about the menace of drug abuse within their communities.
