Shopian : Deputy Commissioner (DC), Shopian, Shishir Gupta on Tuesday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress of housing units being constructed under Prime Minister’s Awas Yojana (Urban) in Shopian town.
On the occasion, he sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the status of ongoing construction works and the payment made till date under the scheme.
The meeting was informed that against the target of constructing 477 housing units for the houseless population of the town, 370 have been completed till date and the remaining 107 units are under construction.
DC directed for ensuring timely completion of remaining units, both physically and financially emphasizing on timely payment of PMAY- U installments to the beneficiaries.
The meeting was attended by CPO, CEO, DSEO and other concerned officers and officials.
