Kupwara: In strict adherence to directives promulgated by the Chief Education Officer Kupwara, the Zonal Education Officer Handwara, in synergy with an esteemed delegation from the CEO Office under the erudite stewardship District Education Planning Officer (DEPO) Kupwara, Mohammad Iqbal Shah, orchestrated a meticulously curated Environmental Building Programme under the aegis of the Inclusive Education Initiative enshrined within the overarching framework of SAMAGRA Shiksha.
The convocation unfolded within the precincts of Government Boys Higher Secondary School Handwara, convening an august assembly of stakeholders encompassing School Nodal Officers (SNOs) for UDISE, parents, Children with Special Needs (CWSN), special educators, the Zonal Nodal Officer (ZNO), and a cohort of resource persons. The solemnity of the occasion was further exalted by the presence of top functionaries notably DEPO, the President of Women Empowerment – Widows, Mohammad Shafi Mir, and the District Coordinator for Inclusive Education, Javid Wani.
The cardinal aspiration underpinning this initiative was the meticulous identification, comprehensive screening, and systematic integration of CWSN students within a pedagogically nourishing environment conducive to their cognitive and psychosocial flourishing. This noble endeavor aligns seamlessly with the imperative of ensuring equitable educational accessibility, as delineated under the Inclusive Education Component of SAMAGRA Shiksha.
During the deliberations, Resource Person Ulfat Aadil expounded upon the multifaceted impediments and latent prospects within the CWSN community, accentuating the exigency of grassroots implementation strategies to effectuate tangible amelioration. A vibrant and intellectually stimulating discourse ensued, wherein a gamut of pressing concerns germane to Inclusive Education was examined in an atmosphere suffused with erudition and mutual accord.
DNO Inclusive Education Kupwara, Javid Wani, in an exhaustive exposition of the IED component, elucidated its variegated schemes and auxiliary modalities, exhorting the pedagogical fraternity to assimilate and champion the cause of CWSN students, galvanizing them toward the realization of their aspirations and fostering their self-reliance. In a profound one-hour discourse, he assured the assembly of the institution of remedial interventions tailored to augment the welfare of this marginalized demographic, fervently imploring UDISE In-Charges to steadfastly champion the elevation of this underprivileged cohort within the educational ecosystem.
