Srinagar : Police in Handwara on Saturday organized an awareness programme on New Criminal Laws at Govt High school Guloora.
The initiative is aimed to familiarize students with new legal provisions enabling them to remain well informed and knowledgeable to deal the situation effectively with evolving legal framework. During the session, police officers highlighted the key aspects of new criminal laws and threw light on its benefits on society by implementing and adhering these legal norms for maintaining law and order.
Students actively participated in the interactive session and had threadbare discussions on new laws. While voicing their queries before the penal of experts, they sought clarifications on various legal provisions and were made satisfied by law knowing experts during the course of discussions.
Police in a statement issued here on Saturday reaffirmed its commitment to acquaint people about newly introduced laws for safety and community welfare through educational programmes and awareness campaigns aiming to foster a law-abiding society.
