Bandipora : The Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sonawari Constituency, of Bandipora District, Advocate Hilal Akbar Lone on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a new 06 roomed double storey school building at Secondary School Vijpara Hajin.
The MLA accompanied by Executive Engineer R&B Sumbal Mushtaq Ahmad and other concerned officials laid the foundation stone in presence of Chairman District Development Council Ab Gani Bhat.
Giving details, ExEn R&B Sumbal said that the construction of the new 06 roomed double storey building is being undertaken with an estimated cost of Rs.80 lakh.
He informed that work for Rs.75.45 lakh has been advertised, with Rs.59.95 lakh already allotted for the execution of the project.
During his visit to Vijpara, MLA Hilal Akbar Lone also inspected various ongoing infrastructure projects in the area, assessing their physical progress.
He urged the concerned departments and executing agencies to ensure the timely completion of these works, emphasizing the importance of adhering to set deadlines.
Later, the MLA interacted with local residents, listened to their grievances, and assured them that their genuine issues will be addressed on priority.
