Bandipora: District Legal Services Authority Bandipora in coordination with Tehsil legal Services Committees Bandipora, Sumbal and Gurez on Saturday organised Lok Adalat on Traffic Challans and Electricity Bills.
The Lok Adalat was held under the Supervision of Khalil Ahmad Choudhary, Chairman District Legal Services Authority, (Pr. District & Session Judge) Bandipora and under the guidance of Iqbal Ahmad Akhoon, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Bandipora.
Three Benches were constituted for the said Lok Adalat comprising of a Presiding Officer and a Member.
First Bench was presided over by Iqbal Ahmad Akhoon Secretary DLSA (Chief Judicial Magistrate) Bandipora and Amandeep Singh (Munsiff JMIC) Bandipora acted as bench member.
Second Bench was presided over by Rahila Rashid, Munsiff/JMIC Sumbal and Ghulam Mohi ud din Parray (Advocate) acted as bench member. Third Bench was presided over by Mehak Mehboob, Munsiff/JMIC Gurez and Tajamul Islam (Advocate) acted as bench member.
A total No. of 748 Cases were taken up and out of which 130 Cases were settled & an amount of Rs. 77,74,954/- was realized.

Lok Adalat for Traffic Challans, Electricity Bills organized at Ang
Anantnag: A Lok Adalat for Traffic Challans and Electricity Bills was organized on Saturday at District Court Complex Anantnag under the guidance of Tahir Khurshid Raina, Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (Principal District & Sessions Judge), Anantnag and under the Supervision of Muzamil Ahmad Wani, Sub-Judge/ Secretary DLSA Anantnag.
For amicable settlement of the cases, 01 bench was constituted at District Headquarter Anantnag which was presided over by Anurag Khajuria, District Mobile Magistrate Anantnag and assisted by Arshad Aziz Qureshi, Munsiff JMIC Anantnag. In addition to this, 01 bench at TLSC Dooru, 01 bench at TLSC Vailoo and 01 bench at TLSC Shangus was also constituted.
In the said Lok Adalat, 436 cases related to Traffic Challans and Electricity Bills cases were taken up in which all 382 cases were amicably settled. An amount of Rs. 15,33,170 was realized.
Advocates, people and participants appreciated the efforts and thanked District Legal Services Authority Anantnag for organizing the general Lok Adalat on Traffic Challans and Electricity Bills.
