DC reviews progress of key development schemes in Poonch Distt

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal reviewed the progress of different developmental schemes, including PMAY, MG-NREGA, Capex, SBM, and RSGA here at a meeting held in the conference hall of DC Office Complex.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of timely execution and of the projects strictly in accordance to the prescribed quality standards . He directed the Block Development Officers (BDOs) to put in extra efforts to clear pending payments and compensations under MGNREGA, while urging them to meet the targets set for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) to benefit the local populace.
The meeting featured a detailed block-wise analysis of the completion status of PMAY houses, as well as the progress of Capex initiatives.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the block-wise achievements under BDC, DDC, and Panchayat grants along with the aspirational Block Development Plan. He directed the concerned BDOs to complete their respective block-wise projects and increase expenditures before the end of the financial year.
Additionally, the issues related to land cases and billing were also discussed, with a push for resolution from the concerned officers. The status of Panchayat Ghars under RGSA was also reviewed to ensure effective infrastructure development.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the ongoing efforts under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen), focusing on initiatives like door-to-door garbage collection and solid/liquid waste management.
