Srinagar : Police Drug De-addiction Centre (PDDC) Baramulla, under the aegis of Baramulla Police on Friday organized an awareness programme at MM Memorial School, Uri.
The programme aimed at educating students and faculty about the harmful effects of drug abuse and equipping them with essential knowledge on prevention strategies. The session highlighted the physical, psychological, and social consequences of substance abuse, emphasizing the importance of a drug-free society.
Prominent speakers at the event Mohmad Ashraf and Nusrat Lateef from PDDC Baramulla, delivered insightful lectures, sharing their expertise on various aspects of drug addiction, its causes, and effective intervention strategies. They appealed students to remain vigilant and play an active role in spreading awareness about the menace of drug abuse within their communities. Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement reiterated it commitment to its mission of eradicating drug addiction and safeguarding the future of the youth through continuous awareness campaigns and community outreach initiatives.
