8 vehicles seized, 25 Challaned in Ramban for traffic violations

Ramban : The Motor Vehicle Department Ramban on Friday conducted a massive enforcement drive against traffic violators, particularly targeting vehicles operating without permits and those found unfit. The drive was conducted along the Ramban-Dharmkund-Sangaldan-Gool route.
During the surprise checking, the enforcement team seized eight vehicles and issued 25 challans under various provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act and associated rules. A total fine amounting to ₹1.14 lakh is expected after the clearance of these challans.
As part of the drive at Sangaldan, ARTO Er Kuldeep Singh conducted an interactive session and counseling for drivers, conductors, and vehicle owners, emphasizing adherence to the safety parameters and traffic regulations to ensure passenger safety. He reiterated that such enforcement drives and crackdowns on traffic violators would continue across all routes in the district to maintain strict traffic discipline.
The enforcement operation received active support from local law enforcement authorities. At Dharmkund SHO Rajeev Kumar and in Sangaldan Chowki Officer Yudhveer Kumar joined the drive and extended their full cooperation.
