Srinagar: Police under the aegis of Civic Action Programme 2024-25 inaugurated T20 knockout Cricket Tournament at DPL Awantipora.
The tournament was inaugurated by SSP Awantipora, besides DySP DAR Awantipora and other officers were also present on the occasion. 10 teams from various areas of Police District Awantipora including Police team of DPL Awantipora are participating in the tournament. The inaugural match was played between DPL Awantipora vs Renzipora Royals.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar SSP Awantipora while interacting with the players expressed that J&K Police is on fore front in organizing various sports events as it brings positive energy in the youth & competitive spirit, good health and keeps the individual away from the negative forces. He further stated that more such sports activities shall be organized in the Police District Awantipora in future as well.
