Centre for it organized three-days training session on “leave management system”

Jammu : The Centre for IT Enabled Services & Management (CITES&M), the University of Jammu organized a three-day training session on “Leave Management System” under the Samarth ERP for all Officers, Directors/HODs, and Teaching Single Point of Contact (SPOC) of the various departments of the university.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office University of Jammu here Dr. Guneet Singh Sudan, Director, Centre for IT Enabled Services & Management, welcomed all the participants and introduced the various sub-systems of the ERP implemented at the University of Jammu which includes the Employee Management System, Career Advancement Scheme (CAS), Inventory Management System, File Management And Tracking System, Transport Management System, IT Desk Management System Guest House Management System, Grievance Management System, Core Communication System etc. He emphasized that within an educational institute, the ERP would play a pivotal role in making university governance transparent, effective, efficient, responsive, and accountable, to its employees, students, and all the stakeholders. He highlighted that this new system would be the University’s initiative towards e-governance and good governance in alignment with the vision of Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, the University of Jammu.
The participants were trained on the Leave Management System on the ERP and various stages of leave management process which include online submission of various types of leave, recommendation, reviewing, approval/rejection, and sanctioning. They were informed about leave balance, and leave analysis. The system is designed to streamline and simplify the process of managing leave applications for teaching faculty, officers, non-teaching, and multitasking staff.
Additionally, the participants were introduced to the Employee Management System, Guest House Management System, Transport Management System, and IT Desk Management System.
All participated enthusiastically in the training session and asked various questions which were answered to their satisfaction. The training session was coordinated by Kour, Service and Development Engineer, Centre for IT which was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Guneet Singh Sudan, Director IT.
