Jammu : Jammu and Kashmir BJP President, Sat Sharma CA, while chairing a meeting of senior activists of the party on Monday at Jammu highlighted the far-reaching impact of the welfare schemes launched by the Narendra Modi government, emphasizing their role in uplifting all sections of society. He underscored the union government’s commitment to inclusive development through various social and economic initiatives.
“The Modi government’s welfare schemes have transformed the lives of millions across the country, ensuring that benefits reach every section of society, from farmers and women to the poor and middle class,” Sharma said. He noted that programmes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and Ujjwala Yojana have provided support to people, enhancing their quality of life.
One of the flagship initiatives, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, has provided affordable housing to millions of urban and rural families.
Sharma pointed out that the government’s mission of “Housing for All” is being realized through financial assistance and subsidies for home construction.
Discussing the impact of Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY), he said that the world’s largest health insurance scheme has enabled millions of underprivileged families to access free medical treatment. “Healthcare expenses push many families into poverty, but Ayushman Bharat has ensured that quality healthcare is now accessible to the needy,” he added.
Sat Sharma said that the farmers have greatly benefited from PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, which provides direct income support of rupees 6,000 per year to small and marginal farmers.
Empowering women has been a key priority for the Modi government, Sharma stated, citing the Ujjwala Yojana, which has provided LPG connections to women from poor households. This scheme has transformed lives by promoting clean energy, improving health conditions, and reducing the burden on women.
Sat Sharma further said that initiatives like PM Gareeb Kalyan Anna Yojana, had ensured free ration to over 80 crore Indians during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Jal Jeevan Mission is providing tap water to every household.
Sharma reiterated that these schemes reflect the Modi government’s commitment to Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, ensuring that the benefits of growth reach every citizen.
