ADGP Armed felicitated J&K Police Central Sports Team Medal winners at APC Channi

Jammu: Anand Jain, ADGP Armed J&K on Saturday felicitated various sports personnel of J&K Police Central Sports Teams who have recently won various medals and brought laurels to J&K in general and J&K Police in particular by performing extraordinarily at various events & Championships at International/national level. The felicitation ceremony was held at Armed Police Complex Channi Jammu on Saturday.
According to a statement issued from J&K Armed Police Headquarters Srinagar ADGP Armed congratulated the medal winners and highlighted their extraordinary performance during the above said events. While emphasizing the need to improve the fitness level among the personnel, the ADGP stressed for inclusion of sports calendars at battalion level to garner sports talent and to give opportunities to the budding players. The ADGP impressed upon the players to work hard in order to achieve more heights in their respective sports arena.
J&K Police Central Sports Team have made remarkable achievements in various sports Championships at National and International level notably BRICS Games-2024-25. In the recently held National Games and All India Police Games, Players of J&K Police won 18 Gold,13 Silver and 21 Bronze medals in various sports categories as detailed below.
In 16th All India Police Badminton Championship 2024 held at Hyderabad w.e.f 17 to 23 March, 2024 J&K Police won 03 silver medals. In 72nd All India Police Volleyball Cluster 2024 held at Nagpur the J&K Police won 04 Bronze Medals in GO’s Category w.e.f 26th February to 2nd March 2024. In 38th National Games held at Uttarakhand from 28th January to 28th February, 2024 J&K police Won 01 Gold medal 02 Bronze Medals. In BRICS Games 2024-2025 held at Kazan Russia J&K Police Won 01 Silver Medal. In 9th All India Police Judo Cluster 2024-25 organised by Assam Police from 24 to 30th June, 2024 J&K Police won 1 gold and 1 Bronze Medal in Wushu. In Pencak Silat J&K Police Won 05 Gold, 03 Silver Medals and 04 Bronze Medals. In Judo J&K Police Won 1 Silver Medal.
In 73rd All India Police Wrestling Cluster 2024-25 organised by SSB at SAI Stadium Lucknow & KD Singh Babh Stadium Lucknow J&K Police won 1 Bronze Medal. In 1st All India Police Weightlifting Cluster 2024-25 organised by Chhattisgarh Police at Bhilai Distt w.e.f. 23rd to 27th September, 2024 J&K Police won 1 Silver Medal.
Among others the event was also attended by Vinod Kumar DIG, Armed Police Jammu, Mohd Aslam, CO, IRP-24th Bn, Ramesh Chander Kotwal, SSP CO Women 1st Bn, Abrar Choudhary, CO IR 14th Bn, Sanjeev Khajuria, SSP CO JKAP 7th Bn, Rajinder Singh, SSP, APCR, Jammu, Achyut Singh, CO 7th SSB Bn., other GOS/ NGOs of the battalions stationed at Armed Police Complex Channi, Jammu.
