Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have in their separate greeting messages greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Baraat.
In a message of greetings the Lieutenant Governor said “On this sacred occasion of Shab-e-Baraat, I convey my greetings and best wishes to all. The auspicious night provides opportunity to the devotees to seek forgiveness and blessings from the almighty. The holy night reminds us to follow the path of truth, humility, compassion and righteousness. It is also a sacred occasion to reaffirm our responsibility towards the underprivileged sections of the society. I pray for peace, happiness and joy for everyone”.
In his separate message of greetings the Chief Minister highlighted the spiritual significance of Shab-e-Barat, emphasizing that it is a night of introspection and prayer when Muslims seek divine pardon and guidance. He urged people to embrace the spiritual essence of the occasion and pray for the well-being of all humanity. The Chief Minister also prayed for peace, prosperity and progress to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
