PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana: Kishtwar responds well with around 2K applications, 85 loan clearances

Kishtwar : A meeting to review the progress of PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan.
The JPDCL engineers informed the meeting that 5000 consumers have registered for the scheme, with 1,940 applications already submitted.
It was further informed that as per J&K Bank 85 applicants have successfully availed bank loan amounting to ₹1.20 crore.
The DC directed the vendors to start the installation of Solar Rooftop Systems (SRTs) for sanctioned applicants in three days.
Additionally, the vendors were instructed to increase installation teams to clear all pending cases.
To ensure the smooth implementation of the scheme, the DC advised the JPDCL to coordinate with vendors and address any minor operational challenges in a time-bound manner.
The initiative aims to facilitate consumers in availing the benefits of the government’s solar energy scheme, promoting clean and sustainable energy solutions in the region.
