Hakeem Slams Political Parties for confusing statements on liquor ban bill, conflicting remarks on statehood

Srinagar/Feb,13: President Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF) Hakeem Muhammad Yaseem on Thursday slammed political parties for issuing conflicting statements on statehood and unnecessarily glorifying the proposed liquor ban resolutions much before presenting them and getting the bill passed.
In a statement issued here on Thursday Hakeem Yaseen said conflicting statements from both the ruling and the opposition political parties on statehood restoration show their inimical mindset and termed such tendencies a disrespect to popular mandate of 2024 assembly elections which he said tantamounts to rubbing the salt on the wounds of the people of Jammu andKashmir.Calling upon all the political parties to unitedly fight for statehood restoration to end the continuing public disempowerment in Jammu and Kashmir ,Hakeem Yaseen also slammed political parties for creating an euphoria over liquor ban resolutions much before getting the liquor ban bill passed in the assembly , which none of the previous regimes could passed.
Stating that liquor ban bill was not passed even under during the regime of late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, Hakeem impressed upon all political parties to shown unity in passing the liquor ban in the ensuing assembly session which he said could be a pathbreaking social reform for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. He also extended his party’s full support to the liquor ban besides all social evils like drug trafficking.
