Kulgam : Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, who is also Chairman of District Wetland Management Units, on Wednesday convened a comprehensive meeting to discuss the demarcation of wetland sites across the district.
Revenue, Forest, and Wildlife departments were tasked with the demarcation of identified wetlands and ground truthing of the digital boundaries. Jal Shakti, Flood Control and Fisheries departments were asked to work out of the conservation plans for the wetlands. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue Kulgam, Mushtaq Ahmad Lone, District Officer Pollution Control Committee Firdous Ahmad, all Tehsildars, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, DFO Kulgam, AD Fisheries, and other concerned officials from various departments.
