The Menace Of Mobile Phone Addiction, The Deterioration Of Ethical Journalism In Kashmir, A Call For Stringent Legal Measures: In the contemporary digital epoch, the proliferation of mobile phone addiction, the emergence of self-proclaimed journalists devoid of professional credentials, and the unchecked ascent of YouTubers propagating obscenity and moral decadence have engendered an unparalleled societal catastrophe. Nowhere is this affliction more pronounced than in Kashmir, where the unbridled expansion of digital platforms has facilitated the erosion of journalistic integrity, the corruption of youth, and the proliferation of a culture bereft of ethical constraints. This alarming trajectory necessitates an immediate and resolute legal intervention to curtail the deleterious ramifications of these phenomena.

Mobile Phone Addiction: The Silent Epidemic: The ubiquity of mobile phones has transcended their fundamental purpose as mere communication devices, morphing into omnipotent instruments of psychological subjugation. Addiction to these devices has imperceptibly ensnared individuals, particularly impressionable children, into a vortex of cognitive stagnation and emotional atrophy. The compulsive engagement with digital screens has precipitated a dramatic decline in critical thinking, creativity, and social interactions, rendering the youth susceptible to intellectual impoverishment. Furthermore, mobile phone addiction has catalyzed an unprecedented surge in psychological disorders, including anxiety, depression, and diminished attention spans. The incessant exposure to blue light, coupled with the overstimulation of dopamine receptors, has led to chronic sleep deprivation and cognitive dysfunction. The insidious nature of this affliction is exacerbated by the absence of stringent regulatory frameworks; thereby allowing unmonitored access to content that is detrimental to mental well-being. It is imperative for legislative bodies to enact stringent regulations mandating controlled digital consumption, particularly among minors. Parents and educators must be equipped with comprehensive strategies to mitigate excessive screen exposure, and punitive measures should be imposed on tech conglomerates that exploit neuropsychological vulnerabilities for profit.

The Perversion of Journalism, The Rise Of Unqualified Individuals: The sanctity of journalism, once upheld as the bastion of truth and intellectual rigor, has been desecrated by the proliferation of self-styled reporters who lack the foundational knowledge of journalistic ethics. In Kashmir, an alarming number of individuals, devoid of formal education in journalism, have audaciously infiltrated the media landscape, disseminating misinformation, sensationalism, and politically motivated propaganda. Authentic journalism demands an unwavering commitment to objectivity, fact-based reporting, and ethical responsibility. However, the unchecked proliferation of pseudo-journalists, driven by the pursuit of personal aggrandizement and ideological biases, has resulted in the distortion of reality. The dissemination of unverified information not only exacerbates societal tensions but also undermines the credibility of legitimate media institutions. To counteract this menace, it is imperative to establish stringent regulatory frameworks that mandate professional accreditation for individuals engaging in journalistic endeavors. A legal mandate should be enforced, stipulating that only individuals possessing a recognized degree in journalism be permitted to practice in the field. Furthermore, punitive measures should be imposed on those who engage in fraudulent journalistic practices, thereby deterring the proliferation of misinformation and media anarchy.

“Mobile phone addiction, fake journalism, and unethical content on digital platforms are serious threats to society, especially in Kashmir. If left unchecked, they will continue to harm young minds, spread misinformation, and weaken moral values. To prevent this, strict laws must be enforced to regulate digital content and ensure that only trained professionals practice journalism. Parents, educators, and policymakers must work together to create awareness and promote responsible media use. Taking action now is crucial to protecting the future and maintaining truth, integrity, and ethical values in society.”

Youtube And Rise Of Moral Depravity : Parallel to the degradation of journalism, the meteoric rise of YouTubers who perpetuate vulgarity, obscenity, and cultural debasement has wreaked havoc on societal values. In an era where digital content creators wield an unprecedented influence over public consciousness, the unchecked propagation of immoral content has led to the erosion of ethical standards, particularly among impressionable youth. These so-called influencers, devoid of intellectual substance and ethical responsibility, exploit digital platforms to propagate content that is antithetical to the moral fabric of society. From the normalization of lewd behavior to the glorification of delinquency, these YouTubers have transformed social media into a cesspool of degeneracy. The detrimental impact of such content extends beyond individual corruption, permeating the collective consciousness and fostering a culture devoid of accountability and moral restraint. Government must enact stringent laws to regulate digital content, ensuring that YouTubers adhere to ethical guidelines that prohibit the dissemination of vulgar and morally reprehensible material. Digital platforms must be held accountable for failing to enforce content moderation policies, and punitive actions should be taken against individuals who deliberately engage in the promotion of obscenity.

The Need For Stringent Legal Frameworks: The unchecked proliferation of mobile phone addiction, the degradation of journalistic standards, and the rise of morally corrupt digital content necessitate an urgent and resolute legal response. Regulatory bodies must implement strict accreditation processes for journalists, ensuring that only qualified individuals are permitted to engage in media practices. Similarly, digital platforms must be subjected to rigorous oversight to prevent the dissemination of harmful content. Moreover, public awareness campaigns must be initiated to educate individuals about the perils of mobile phone addiction and the detrimental consequences of consuming unethical digital content. Parents, educators, and policymakers must collectively strive to cultivate a society that upholds intellectual rigor, ethical journalism, and moral responsibility. The proliferation of mobile phone addiction, the decline of professional journalism, and the rise of morally corrupt YouTubers represent an existential threat to societal integrity. Unless immediate and stringent legal measures are implemented, the erosion of ethical values will continue unabated, plunging future generations into an abyss of intellectual and moral decay. It is incumbent upon policymakers, regulatory bodies, and civil society to unite in the pursuit of a reformed digital landscape that upholds the principles of truth, integrity, and moral responsibility. The time for passive observation has long passed decisive action is imperative to safeguard the future of our society. Mobile phone addiction, fake journalism, and unethical content on digital platforms are serious threats to society, especially in Kashmir. Taking action now is crucial to protecting the future and maintaining truth, integrity, and ethical values in society.
