Srinagar : As a part of its ongoing effort to curb the rising instances of fraud and to prevent misuse of mobile phone SIMs, Police in Pulwama on Monday launched a verification drive on SIM card vendors across the district.
The drive aims to verify the authenticity of documents submitted by subscribers and to ensure that SIM vendors are adhering to the guidelines set by the government and to ensure that their SIM connections are verified.
Police appealed pepple to report any suspicious activities or irregularities concerning SIM card sales or usage, Stating therein that collaborative effort aims to enhance the security and safety of the citizens.
