In a post on his X handle Bukhari said“The government should feel a sense of shame as protesting casual and daily wage workers continue to face beatings and detentions whenever they try to raise their voices for their legitimate demands, including job regularization and timely salaries. Today, several protesters from various departments were detained near Press Colony in Srinagar while urging the government to uphold its promise of regularizing their employment—a commitment made by the ruling party during its election campaign.” Calling upon the Government Bukhari in his post on “X” further said “At the very least, the government must have the decency to acknowledge its failure in keeping its word to these struggling workers. Show mercy to these vulnerable souls!”
