DC reviews physical, financial progress of Tourism, BADP projects in Poonch Distt

Poonch : District Development Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal on Saturday reviewed progress of Tourism development Projects and the Border Area Development Plan (BADP) works here at two separate meetings.
The Deputy Commissioner meticulously reviewed the status of ongoing Tourism projects, including development of Eco parks, Gardens, viewpoints, construction of cafeteria and Toilet Complex, children’s parks, the beautification of key tourist sites etc. He emphasized the need for timely completion of these projects.
To further improve tourist amenities, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the Tourism department to focus on developing potential tourist destinations to attract more visitors. Additionally, he directed the Department to prioritize the installation of a solar panel on the upcoming cafeteria to promote sustainability.
The meeting also provided an overview of the financial achievements related to these tourism projects. The Accounts Officer presented the details of both ongoing and new initiatives under the Capex budget Plan.
Later, taking block-wise review of BADP works, the Deputy Commissioner urged Executive Engineers to ensure the timeline completion of ongoing projects while emphasizing the goal of achieving 100% expenditure before the end of the financial year. He also sought updates on the physical status of current projects, the number of schemes completed, and the advancements made in the current fiscal year.
The meeting was attended by SE PWD, ACD, CPO,XEN PWD, besides other concerned executive engineers were present in the meeting.
