Police Organises Awareness Prog on New Criminal Laws in Shopian

Srinagar : Police in Shopian under the supervision of SSP Shopian Anayat Ali Chowdhary on Friday conducted awareness programme on three new criminal laws at Mighty Bytes Coaching Centre Hermain. The programme aimed to enlighten the faculty, staff and students about the latest developments in the Indian legal framework. The laws discussed include Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam.
The programme was chaired by SP Hqrs Shopian Javeed Ahmad, Sr. PO DPO Shopian Pawan Preet Singh along with I/C Police Post Hermain and was attended by teaching staff and students of the coaching Centre. The initiative also aimed to educate the students about enactment of new criminal laws, ensuring awareness and compliance with the updated legal framework. The chairing officers explained the essence of the new laws, clarifying their implications and stressing the importance of adherence to legal statutes for maintaining societal order.
