Srinagar: Faculty member at the Department of Economics, University of Kashmir (KU), Dr. Javaid Iqbal Khan, has been invited as a member of the 7th Common Review Mission (CRM) on Rural Development, organized by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India.
The mission, scheduled from February 18 to March 1, 2025, will assess the implementation and impact of rural development programs across various states. Led by Sanjay Aggrawal, former Secretary (Agriculture), Government of India, the 36-member team includes senior academicians, former civil servants, and field experts. Dr. Khan’s selection reflects the University’s growing role in academic research and policy engagement. His expertise in policy analysis and development economics will contribute to evidence-based policy recommendations, further strengthening the university’s impact in rural development studies.
