SSP Handwara chairs public interaction meet at Town Hall Langate

Srinagar : The SSP Handwara Mushtaq Ahmad Choudhary, held a public meeting at Town Hall Langate. The event was attended by Addl. Superintendent of Police Handwara, SDPO, SHO Police Station Handwara and other officers. The meeting was attended by community leaders, social activists, religious heads, traders and other respectable citizens of the area.
During the course of interaction, attendees raised various issues/grievances which were given patient hearing by the SSP Handwara and assured them that the police-related issues will be redressed on priority basis, while as issues related to civil administration, will be referred to the concerned departments for promptly and urgent action.
Addressing the participants SSP Handwara emphasized upon the importance of setting up community policing in order to strengthen Police Public trust. He urged for collective efforts to combat drug abuse and social evils that has emerged as a big challenge in society, calling for a mission-driven approach from community service to eradicate the drug menace.
