Shopian : To mark 10 years of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW), Shopian in collaboration with the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) organized a sports programme for students.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various schools in carrom and chess competitions, highlighting the importance of focus, strategic thinking and decision-making to empower young minds to overcome challenges.
During the programme, District Social Welfare Officer Shopian and District Youth Services and Sports Officer Shopian delivered inspirational speeches; urging students to break barriers, challenge negative societal norms, and embrace education as a tool for empowerment.
The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony during which winners were honored for their outstanding performance.
