DC Shopian chairs HADP meeting; emphasizes on outreach, outcomes of scheme

Shopian : A District Level Committee meeting was convened on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Shishir Gupta to review and strategize the implementation of the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan (HADP) in the district.
Threadbare discussion was held on various components of the plan, including capacity-building initiatives, outreach & awareness, infrastructure development and ensuring 100% coverage of eligible beneficiaries.
Performance of agriculture and allied sectors concerning HADP implementation was also reviewed.
During the meeting, DC emphasized for achieving the set targets under HADP to enhance agricultural productivity, promote sustainable practices and uplift the socio-economic conditions of farmers in the district.
He also stressed on creating awareness among farmers about the benefits of HADP and adopting innovative techniques to improve yield and profitability.
DDC highlighted the importance of timely financial assistance to eligible applicants and called for innovations in priority sectors.
Formation of agro-tehsil level teams to motivate farmers and raise awareness about government sponsored schemes and committee to check the menace of misbranded pesticides and fertilizers in the district was instructed by the DC.
ADDC, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone, CAO, CAHO, CHO, DSHO, Bank Managers, district officers and other concerned were present.
