Srinagar : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) feels proud in claiming that its cadre is the true backbone and strength of the party. Every activist of the party plays an important role in its growth and electoral victory.
According to a statement issued from party headquarters here, Sat Sharma, President, Jammu and Kashmir BJP, said this while addressing a Karyakarta Sammelan of prominent activists at Katra, along with general secretary & MLA, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, District President Rohit Dubey and other senior leaders.
Sat Sharma said that the BJP created history in Jammu and Kashmir by getting the highest vote share and 29 seats. The party reached such height due to the pro- nation, pro- people programmes and policies of the Narendra Modi government and the consistent efforts of the activists in the entire length and breadth of the UT.
“BJP has the distinction of fastest grown party and the credit for the same goes to the workers from grassroots to national leaders” Sat said, adding that, every BJP karyakarta plays a crucial role in strengthening the party’s presence and ensuring effective governance.
As it was the first visit of Sat Sharma to the holy town of Katra after being elected president, he was given a rousing reception and garlanded, amid beating of drums and distribution of sweets.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, while addressing the Sammelan, said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President, the party has expanded its reach across urban and rural India, with a disciplined and dedicated cadre at its core. Whether in elections, social service, or crisis management, BJP workers have consistently demonstrated their commitment to the nation.
Rohit Dubey, on this occasion, said that the party’s structured organizational framework, guided by the principles of Antyodaya and Seva Hi Sangathan, ensures that every worker is motivated by a higher purpose—nation-building. BJP’s cadre-driven approach has been instrumental in implementing welfare schemes, mobilizing support, and strengthening democratic engagement at all levels.
The proceedings of the Sammelan were conducted by Shashi Pal, Chairman, Katra Municipal Committee.
The Sammelan was attended by party leaders Sohan Lal, Shallu, DDC members Nirmala Kumari and Mengi, Mahila Morcha district president Ritu Thakur, besides hundreds of prominent citizens, intellectuals and retired senior officials.
