PM Modi recognized the contribution of Sikhs towards society, nation, Says J&K BJP Chief Sat Sharma

Jammu : Contribution of the Sikh community for the society and the nation has truly been recognized by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, who admires the community for its selfless service to the society and has taken lot of steps to recognize the community, said Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, while listening to the issues represented by a deputation predominantly of the Sikh community at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
According to a statement issued from party headquarters here, Sat Sharma said that PM Narendra Modi, has done a lot for Sikhs and Sikhism. He opened Kartarpur Sahib Corridor, establishment of Shree Guru Nanak ji Chair at a British University, declaration of Sultanpur Lodhi as heritage city, and honoured Chhote Sahibzadas, the sons of Guru Gobind Singh through his decision to declare December 26 every year as Veer Baal Diwas. It was due to the efforts of PM Modi that the holy Shree Guru Granth Sahib was brought to India from Afghanistan with full respect.
A group of social activists and prominent citizens led by S. Kamalpreet Singh from Sainik Colony, Jammu, called upon Sat Sharma, at party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The deputation congratulated and felicitated Sat Sharma for being elected as the BJP state president. The members of the deputation lauded the Prime Minister for taking steps for the welfare of the Sikh community.
The deputation highlighted various issues including construction of a community hall for the senior citizens, cremation ground and hospital in Sainik Colony area, were highlighted before him. The deputation also pressed for the redressal of the issues related to the lanes, drains, and streetlights maintenance, regular drinking water supply, security issues, cattle roaming on the roads of Sainik Colony etc.
Sat Sharma appreciated the deputation for the initiatives taken by them for the welfare of the people of their area. He listened to all the issues patiently and assured that the efforts will be made to address all the issues on priority.
Sat Sharma added that the Modi government believes in the “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas” policy and is committed to the welfare of all the communities, and regions, with special emphasis on the areas earlier neglected and the people earlier oppressed. The schemes and policies initiated by the Modi government reflects its deeper commitment to the society as a whole and the socio-economic development of the society while taking into consideration the social, historic, and cultural perspective.
