Srinagar : Police on Thursday organized ‘Thana Diwas’ in various police establishments in Srinagar, Budgam, Bandipora, Shopian, Awantipora and Handwara.
The meetings were chaired by respective jurisdictional police officers and were attended by various associations and respectable of concerned areas.
On the occasion, participants highlighted various issues of public importance and they were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and that of civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
Participants were appealed to co-operate with Police in curbing the drug menace and in identifying anti national and anti-social elements to maintain peace and order in the society.
