Samba : Department of Education, Government Degree College Vijaypur organized “Presentations on Skill of Preparing Teaching Aids under Skill Enhancement Course” on Thursday.
The program was organized under the guidance and supervision of the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Verma.
She appreciated the efforts of the students who participated enthusiastically in the preparation and presentations of teaching aids. She asked several questions related to the teaching aids prepared by them.
The Principal emphasized that such kind of informative and interactive programs should be organized in future to provide students with practical experiences. Prof. Ritu Bhagat (HOD Education) briefed the students that teaching aids are resources used by a teacher that enhance the effectiveness of classroom instruction or boost the interest of the learners. These aids help to cater different learning styles, facilitate understanding of the concepts and enhance the overall learning experiences of the students.
The students of the Department of Education used different types of waste material to create the teaching aids according to various topics of different subjects like Mathematics, Sciences, Social Sciences and Languages taught in upper Primary Classes.
The faculty members present were Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (HOD English). It was coordinated by Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal and Dr Noreen Jaral (Lecturers in Department of Education).
