Distt Admin Ang celebrates Jashn-e-Chillai-Kalan

Anantnag : The District Administration Anantnag organized the Jashn-e-Chillai-Kalan cultural event on Thursday at Wazirbagh Anantnag which aimed to promote public outreach and cultural engagement.
The event also saw overwhelming participation from cultural enthusiasts & youth.
Prominent local artists including Anil Koul (popular comedy artist), Ayaan Sajad (Young Sufi Singer and Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardee), Ishfaq Kawa and Noor Mohammad enthralled & mesmerized audience while Band Pather was also part of the Jashn-e-Chillai-Kalan.
On the occasion, several departments including Agriculture, Employment, Horticulture, Tourism, Health, Handloom and Handicrafts, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, ITI etc set up public information kiosks in which they exhibited schemes and initiatives of their respective departments.
The event also provide interface between youth & numerous companies and corporates.
Moreover, a special short film showing the achievements and developmental focus of the district was also screened.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from district and sectoral officers, students, locals, cultural enthusiasts and distinguished dignitaries.
During the event, district level winners of various online competitions held by the Department of Information and Public Relations recently on Republic Day 2025 including the Patriotic Song Singing Competition, Draw you favourite Freedom Fighter Competition, and the Essay Competition were also felicitated.
