DC inspects NH-1C Land Acquisition Site and Govt School in Katra

Reasi : Deputy Commissioner Nidhi Malik on Thursday conducted a spot inspection of NH-1C at Kotli Manotarian village to assess land acquisition for the construction of a 20-meter span bridge. She directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely disbursement of compensation to the landowners and instructed immediate commencement of the bridge construction to enhance connectivity in the region.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected Government High School Bhagga, where she reviewed classroom conditions and checked the teachers’ attendance register. She emphasized the proper utilization of school grants for cleanliness and maintenance. Additionally, she mandated that the school sweeper be present daily to maintain hygiene standards.
To ensure accountability, DC Nidhi Malik directed the Tehsildar to conduct regular school inspections. She instructed strict action against the in-charge if cleanliness standards were not met, reinforcing the administration’s commitment to improving educational infrastructure and student well-being.
