Srinagar: Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), on Friday said that Pakistan is responsible for promoting cross-border militancy and the international community is fully aware of it.
MEA spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal while addressing a pressconference in New Delhi said, “The whole world knows who is promoting militancy. In India, when we face terror-related attacks, the source is clear, and we all understand the genesis of cross-border militancy.”
His remarks came in response to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, which accused the Indian Army of politicization after the Army Chief linked terror activities in Jammu and Kashmir to Pakistan.
Jaiswal while dismissing the accusations of politicization levelled by Pakistan as irrelevant, said that the global community is well aware of the countries responsible for fostering such activities.
He reiterated India’s position that Pakistan has consistently failed to dismantle terror networks operating from its territory. “Everybody knows there are people and countries responsible for cross-border militancy, and we call upon Pakistan to take strict action to stop it,” he added
