Shopian : The Deputy Commissioner of Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar, convened a meeting on Thursday with representatives from the Agriculture and allied departments to assess the registrations related to HADP, Daksh Kisan portal, and Kisan Khidmat Ghars.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner expressed concern regarding the sluggish progress in farmer registrations and course applications under the Daksh Kisan initiative, urging for a swift enhancement of efforts to achieve the target.
The departments and Krishi Udhyamis associated with Kisan Khidmat Ghars were tasked with raising awareness among farmers about the operations of KKGs throughout the district and the agricultural services available for their benefit.
He emphasized that KKGs should serve as the central hub for agricultural activities within the panchayats moving forward and encouraged all stakeholders to collaborate in bolstering the agricultural economy of the district.
Additionally, the meeting included an evaluation of the units established under the HADP initiative within the district. The meeting was attended by ADDC Dr. Nasir Ahmad Lone, heads of allied agricultural departments, Tehsildars, and Krishi Udhyamis.
