Weekly Block Diwas: DC G’bal convenes grievance redressal camp at Mini Sectt

Gandebal : In a bid to address the concerns and aspirations of the locals, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir, on Wednesday presided over a public grievance redressal camp as part of weekly Block Diwas program for block Ganderbal here in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat.
The camp focused on addressing public grievances, fostering inclusive development and ensuring time-bound redressal of issues.
During the event, residents of Block Ganderbal apprised the DC of several issues like staff dearth in PHC Shuhama, unavailability of Government school books, upgradation of roads, maintenance of street lights, leveling of Khalmullah play field, ration store at Baba Deryadin, permanent Tehsildar at Tulmulla, dredging of Tulmulla Nallah, completion of tehsil building Tulmulla and tehsil library Tullamulla.
Meanwhile, DDC members of block Ganderbal demanded ground for Gutlibagh, Baba wayil to Gutlibagh road upgradation, Panchayat Ghar at Gutlibagh, roads connectivity to Badargund area and addressing bottlenecks of alternate road from Duderhama to Umar Hair.
The DC directed the health department to send the requirements of ambulances including the current status of ambulances in the district so that the matter could be discussed with higher ups.
Regarding availability of government books, the ZEO Ganderbal said that the requisition has been already sent and books will be available very soon.
Similarly, the R & B department was asked to take assessment of the roads for widening that were discussed in the program.
Regarding Umar heir road widening, the DC said that the land acquisition matter has been taken up with Srinagar Administration and will be resolved soon.
Interacting with the participants, the DC urged locals to engage with the departments to learn about available schemes, ensuring that benefits reach those in need. He also directed the department that the awareness camps should be given wide publicity so that maximum people could participate.
While replying to the issue of staff rationalization in government schools, the DC urged the dedicated persons of the district to register themselves under Vidyanjali Yojana to work with the education department.
Among others, the event was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gulzar Ahmad, DySP HQ, Assistant Commissioner Development, Executive Engineers of various engineering wings and other district and sectoral officers.
