Police Organises One Day Training-Cum-Workshop On New Criminal Laws, UA(P)A, NDPS Cases In Shopian

Srinagar : Police in Shopian organised on Tuesday One day training-cum-workshop on implementation and investigation of new Criminal Laws, UA(P)A & NDPS cases at DPO Shopian.
The workshop/program was conducted under the supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police Shopian Anayat Ali Chowdhary and attended by all GOs of District Police Shopian including Sr. Prosecuting Officer DPO Shopian/Awantipora, all SHOs, incharge Police Posts and investigating officers of UA(P)A & NDPS cases, CCTNS operators.
In his inaugural speech, SSP Shopian highlighted the objective of this workshop and underscored its importance to enhance and hone up investigative skills of officers and various SOPs issued from time to time to be adopted while investigating UA(P)A & NDPS Act cases. During the work shop case studies on various conviction as well as acquittals cases were discussed at length.
The Sr. PO DPO Shopian and Sr. PO DPO Awantipora also delivered detailed briefings on various aspects of NDPS/ UA(P)A Act and related laws and procedures to all GOs, SHOs, IC PPs, IOs of Shopian police. Moreover, Senior Prosecuting Officers have provided in-depth insights on New Criminal Laws. A question-and-answer session was held, where Investigating officers posed questions and received guidance from the senior prosecuting officers. At the conclusion, SSP Shopian expressed hope that all the officers and IOs investigating the UA(P)A & NDPS cases will put in all efforts to investigate cases in a highly professional manner. At the end of the workshop Senior Prosecuting Officers were honoured with mementos by SSP Shopian.
