DC Kupwara reviews arrangements for celebration of National Voters Day

Kupwara : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, who is also District Election Officer (DEO) Tuesday, convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for the celebration of National Voters Day (NVD) in the district.
During the meeting, a threadbare discussion was held to review various arrangements for the smooth celebration of National Voters Day, falling on 25th January. It was given out in the meeting that the main function of NVD will be held at BHSS Kupwara.
On the occasion, the DC impressed upon the officers to work with added dedication and close coordination to ensure vibrant celebration of the event.
The Chief Education Officer was asked to conduct various activities including Art and Essay competitions in Higher Secondary and High Schools to mark the celebration of National Voters Day.
It was also given out in the meeting that the functions for celebration of NVD shall also be held in Assembly Constituencies and Booth level across the district. The Booth Level Officers were also directed to conduct special Voter Registration drives for enrollment of new voters, besides they shall also distribute EPIC cards among the newly registered voters.
SDM Lolab, ACR, Dy. DEO, CEO, ACP, ACD, CPO, Tehsildar Handwara and other concerned were present in the meeting.
