Arrangements for Shab-i-Meraj finalized at Kulgam

Kulgam : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan Tuesday finalized arrangements for smooth observation of Shab-i-Meraj, at the meeting hall of Mini-Secretariat, here.
DDC asked the PHE department to ensure safe drinking water supply to all mosques and shrines, adding that tanker service be made available to those religious places where huge congregations are expected as a backup and standby measure.
The KPDCL authorities were directed to ensure proper power supply in the entire district especially during the Shab-i-Meraj for smooth celebration of the festival.
The CMO was asked to deploy medical teams along with essential drugs at all the major shrines including Hazrat Syed Simnani (R.A) Shrine Kulgam, Hazrat Sheikh ul Alam (R.A) Shrine Quimoh, Hazrat Noor Shah Bagdad (R.A) Kund & Chimmer as a precautionary measure.
The Assistant Director, FCS&CA was directed to make available essential commodities in all the food stores, ensuring quality of all essentials.
All the Executive Officers of three Municipal Committees were directed to clean up the surroundings of all major shrines in the district.
Tehsildars were directed to intensify the market checking and ensure availability of essentials including mutton, bakery and poultry at a reasonable rate.
The DC called for synergizing efforts by the concerned departments to ensure that the religious eve is celebrated in a smooth and peaceful manner.
He said no stone should be left unturned in extending best civic amenities to the people on this pious and sacred function.
The transport department was directed to prepare a traffic plan & advisory for commuters for hassle free traffic regulation during the festival days.
ADDC Bashir Ahmad Wani; Addl. Superintendent of Police, ACR, ACP, SDM Noorabad, CMO, Tehsildars, AD Food, Executive Officers of Municipal Committees, Jal Shakti, PDD, besides Sectoral Officers attended the meeting.
