Baramulla: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Baramulla Constituency, Javed Ahmad Beigh, on Monday chaired a meeting to review the progress of various developmental works in the Baramulla constituency.
During the meeting, a detailed assessment of the ongoing projects was conducted to address any challenges faced during their execution and to ensure that the works progress effectively.
The MLA directed the respective officers to address the concerns of families affected by the developmental projects, particularly those whose structures were impacted, stressing the importance of ensuring fair and adequate compensation while prioritizing the timely redressal of their grievances.
Addressing the issue of road sinking in slide-prone areas such as Walraman and Chandoosa, the MLA highlighted the importance of adopting effective soil conservation techniques while constructing roads, including piling and other innovative methods, to prevent further damage.
Furthermore, Javed Beigh directed the concerned officials to expedite the execution of all approved and sanctioned works, ensuring that the projects are carried out efficiently and meet the community’s needs.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer R&B, CEO MC Baramulla and BDOs from various blocks besides other officers and officials.
