Bandipora: The Department of Education, Bandipora, on Saturday organized a mega awareness programme under the nationwide initiative Pariksha Pe Charcha, aimed at addressing examination-related stress and promoting a positive academic environment.
The programme was presided over by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, parents, teachers, and other stakeholders.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged students to approach exams with a positive mindset and view challenges as opportunities for growth. He stressed that examinations are not a means of discrimination and called upon teachers to play a proactive role in motivating and supporting students.
Qadri stressed the importance of recognizing individual strengths and talents, rather than focusing solely on academic scores.
He reiterated the district administration’s commitment to providing all possible assistance to ensure a stress-free academic journey for students
Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Mohammad Ashraf Bhatt, also addressed the audience, sharing practical tips and strategies to help students manage stress and focus on their goals.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining a balanced life and shared practical tips on managing time effectively, and staying focused.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Deputy Chief Education Officer highlighted the department’s ongoing initiatives to enhance student well-being and ensure access to educational resources. He emphasized measures to alleviate examination stress and ensure that no student feels unsupported.
Dr. Arif Jan, Deputy Director Academics, JKBOSE, delivered an expert lecture on key strategies to transform stress into success, promote healthy competition, and foster a supportive learning environment.
He deliberated on the specific recommendations of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for reducing academic pressure and highlighted ways to identify and address stress in students.
Dr. Jan also underlined the importance of open communication and the role of teachers in building students’ confidence.
In his vote of thanks, Chief Education Officer (CEO), Bandipora Kishore Kumar expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner and other dignitaries for their valuable contributions to the programme. He thanked the participants, including students, parents, and teachers, for their enthusiastic involvement.
The CEO emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in ensuring a stress-free and supportive environment for students and reaffirmed the department’s commitment to enhancing the educational experience in Bandipora.
The CEO also highlighted the core aim of the Pariksha Pe Charcha programme, which is to reduce the fear of examinations among students, inspire them to excel, and create a stress-free learning environment.
The programme also featured speeches by several student speakers, who shared their personal experiences and insights on dealing with examination-related stress. They expressed their gratitude for initiatives like Pariksha Pe Charcha, which provide them with a platform to voice their concerns and receive valuable guidance from experts and educators.
The event witnessed participation of ADC Zaffar Husson Shawl, ACR Shabir Ahmad Wani, CPO Mohammad Maqbool, DSWO alongside teachers, students, and other stakeholders.
