DC reviews Healthcare scenario in Kulgam

DM directs executive agencies to complete the ongoing projects by March end

Kulgam: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, AtharAamir Khan on Saturday chaired a crucial District Health Infrastructure review meeting at the DC Office Complex, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to enhancing the basic healthcare infrastructure in the district.
The meeting held a detailed review of the functioning and performance of the health department.
During the review, the DC passed instructions for expediting the remaining mechanical work in District Hospital including extension of casualty, additional block for maternity and child health, and other civil & allied works including the construction of DNB hostel.
It is worth mentioning that these works have been taken up this year in the District Hospital by the District Administration with an aim of major upgradation of District Hospital.
The DC also reviewed the status of the Sub District Hospital Building Qaimoh. Directions were passed to R&B for immediate completion of electrical and mechanical works.
In addition, DC also reviewed the progress of under-construction new building of SDH DH pora, of which most of the civil works have been completed so far.
He directed the authorities to complete the remaining pending work by the end of March so that some portion of the old hospital can be shifted to the new one.
It was given out in the meeting that 90% work including civil and electric component on staff accommodation at PHC Frisal has been finished besides NTPHC Devsar, Lammer& Ahmedabad are almost ready to be shifted by the end of this financial year.
He directed the Public Works department to prioritise the execution of electrical components of civil works so that these projects can be completed on time.
The DC emphasized the importance of providing high-quality healthcare services to the people of the district and directed officials to ensure the effective implementation of all health initiatives.
The meeting was attended by ACR, CPO, Executive Engineers Kulgam, DH Pora, all BMO’s, Medical Superintendent Emergency Hospital Qazigund.
