DC Poonch reviews progress of works under District Capex Plan 2024-25

Poonch : District Development Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal on Satureday took a detailed review of the physical and financial progress of projects taken up under the District Capex Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25, here at a meeting of stakeholder departments. The meeting aimed to ensure effective implementation and oversight of various developmental initiatives.
The session commenced with a detailed PowerPoint presentation by Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Mohammad Rafi, outlining both ongoing and completed projects across multiple sectors, including Roads and Buildings, Education, Youth Services, Health, Urban Development, and more.
The meeting highlighted that the approved budget for new works this year stands at Rs. 9903.45 lakh, with Rs. 8309.69 lakh already released, and an expenditure of Rs. 1549.81 lakh recorded as of January 17, 2025.
The Deputy Commissioner directed Block Development Officers to organize Gram Sabhas and inquired about the projects that are yet to commence, urging prompt initiation of these works.
The Deputy Commissioner called upon all departments and executing agencies to accelerate their efforts and ensure timely project completion. He stressed the critical importance of meeting all targets for the financial year and encouraged district and sectoral officers to optimize fund utilization across various schemes.
