“A quick response to the health emergencies lies in collective efforts of the local population and the health staff of the local hospitals of Budhal area.”

Excellence in delivery of health services contradicts the realities on ground as lapses in the rural healthcare system go unnoticed, unchecked and unregulated not just in Budhal area of Rajouri district but in entire Jammu & Kashmir. The deaths due to a mysterious illness show rural healthcare in bad light and situation has ultimately caught the attention of the Chief Minister after loss of more than one dozen lives in Budhal area of Rajouri district. A quick response to such a situation could have brought the situation under control much before the loss of lives would touch the double digit mark. While the onus to bring the situation under control through immediate measures lies solely on the Government particularly the Health Ministry and Secretary Health & Medical Education but critics and the opposition need not to exploit the situation to their own advantage and should instead try to bring down the rising tempers of local populations by cooperation and coordination with the authorities of the local hospitals in Budhal area of Rajouri district. Since this is a matter of the health safety of the people, wisdom demands that people both in the Government and well as leaders in the opposition try to reduce the lapses in the delivery of health services and facilitate the outreach of the health warriors in trouble hit Budhal area for strengthening the system of health emergencies.  Now that Government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of J&K Police to look into the alleged criminal angles of the situation the leaders and the local population have a bigger role in stabilising the situation in Budhal  area and focus more on working of health emergencies than other trivial issues which can be resolved after normalization of the situation in Budhal.

“For all practical purposes the delivery of patient care facilities in local hospitals can be improved through collective efforts and initiatives by district administration, the local community and health staff of the local hospitals in Budhal area. The professional alertness of the health staff in handling health emergencies and the responses of the district administration and the local population are ultimately the key factors which can restore the situation in Budhal area of Rajouri district.”

Situation demands a reset and Government alone without the cooperation of the opposition leaders and local populations can’t bring the situation under control in short time. A quick response to the health emergencies lies in collective efforts of the local population and the health staff of the local hospitals of Budhal area. In this process the District Administration has a greater role of overseeing the delivery of patient care facilities in the hospitals and normalization of the situation in the Budhal area. For all practical purposes the delivery of patient care facilities in local hospitals can be improved through collective efforts and initiatives by district administration, the local community and health staff of the local hospitals in Budhal area. The professional alertness of the health staff in handling health emergencies and the responses of the district administration and the local population are ultimately the key factors which can restore the situation in Budhal area of Rajouri district.
