Srinagar : Visitors and employees at the RTO Kashmir office in Bemina Srinagar have appealed to the authorities to set up a “canteen within the premises” to address the lack of basic food facilities.
People visiting the office have expressed their concerns, stating that they often face hunger while waiting for hours to complete their work.
“There is no proper arrangement for food or refreshments here. Many of us have to spend the entire day without a proper meal,” said a group of locals.
Pertinently, the absence of a canteen is particularly challenging for those who come from far-off areas and are unable to step out during their turn in the queue.
“It’s a basic necessity. The authorities should set up a small canteen here to make things easier for everyone,” added Shabir Ahmad, another visitor.
Moreover, locals and regular visitors have urged the Regional Transport Office (RTO) authorities to address this issue at the earliest, noting that a canteen would provide much-needed relief to those visiting the office daily
