G’bal : As part of the ongoing Road Safety Month, the Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) Ganderbal has launched an awareness campaign aimed at educating the public about key road safety measures.
MVD Inspector Manzoor Ahmed stated that the month-long initiative will focus on important safety protocols, including the use of seat belts, avoiding overtaking, refraining from using mobile phones while driving, adhering to red signals, and minimizing unnecessary honking.
“The primary goal of this campaign is to improve the traffic system and reduce road accidents,” said Manzoor Ahmed. “We urge everyone to strictly follow traffic rules and adopt road safety practices to help prevent mishaps.”
Manzoor emphasized the importance of public awareness in preventing road accidents and improving the overall traffic system. He particularly urged professional drivers to set an example by adhering to safety measures and regulations to reduce road casualties.
