Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, convened a meeting on Wednesday to evaluate the progress of the Perihaspora Water Supply Scheme, aimed at providing safe drinking water to the local population.
During the meeting, Div Com expressed dissatisfaction with the PHE and KPDCL officials for failing to meet the established deadlines for the scheme’s operational readiness.
He urged the relevant KPDCL officers to accelerate efforts to supply electricity to the lift pump and filtration plant of the Perihaspora Water Supply Scheme without further delay.
In addition to officials from PHE Baramulla, STP Ganderbal, KPDCL Baramulla, and the District Administrations of Baramulla and Ganderbal, local public representatives also attended the meeting.
The public representatives expressed their appreciation to the Divisional Commissioner for his swift action and concern to addressing their longstanding issue.
